What to Expect at Target in May

5/2/19

We may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post.

Here is a run down of some of the new products, clearance deals and FREE event you can expect to find at your Target store in May!  I think the biggest news this month is the collaboration with Vineyard Vines.

The Target Vineyard Vines collection will hit Target stores and be available online May 18th.  You can check out the entire Target Vineyard Vines collection online at Target.com.  You’ll find lots of clothing for the entire family, home decor, outdoor items and so much more.  There are lots of great things in this collection and I think it’s going to be a big hit.

We can look forward to new items from Hearth & Hand with Magnolia, these new items will be available May 19th, in-store and online. This is by far my favorite release yet! There are lots of fun outdoor activities, super cute toys for kids and more.  I especially love that cute ice cream set and the bike.

The first part of May will be your last chance to trade-in your car seat. The car seat trade-in event will end on May 4th.  You can redeem your 20% off coupon through 5/11 in-store and online at Target.com.

The Summer Sun Squad seasonal section should be fully stocked this month. The Sun Squad collection is available online too. There are so many bright and fun items for summer.  You’ll find serveware, beach towels, sand toys, floaties and a bunch of other fun items for summer. These are the items that we should see go on clearance to 70% and 90% off in July, unless they do something similar to last year and put actual clearance stickers on all the items.  Let’s hope that doesn’t happen again!

There will be lots of clearance deals in clothing, toys, kids bedding and room decor that should make it down to 70% off this month. Keep you eye on the kids Pillowfort room items, I have seen a lot of items on clearance and they were 50% off on the first of the month so 70% off shouldn’t be too far away.

Lastly, Target will be hosting a FREE Pokemon Detective Pikachu event on Saturday, May 11th, from 10-1pm. Kids can enjoy a promo card & poster giveaway and they may receive a Pikachu or Eevee for the Pokemon Let’s Go! Game.  Make sure you  download the Pokemon Pass app to take part in the giveaways and get digital rewards.  You can find a Target store near you that is participating in this event.
