Who is ready to shop the Halloween clearance? As a reminder, holiday items can go as low as 90% off (food as low as 70% off). The Halloween clearance items are currently marked down to 50% off (food and candy is 30% off).
Make sure you check other departments for hidden deals, like the kitchen and clothing departments. Don’t forget to use the scanners to double check the price. Last year the 70% off markdown happened on November 4th and there wasn’t enough Halloween clearance at 90% off at my stores for the 90% off markdown last year, but it usually happens 2 or so days after the 70% off markdown.
Sadly, for the first time ever the Dash Mini Waffle Makers are NOT included in the clearance. These were ringing up full-price at my store this morning. I’ll be sure to let you know if that chanages.
I was surprised and happy to find that the Threshold fall pumpkins were actually ringing up at 50% off with the Halloween clearance. These were $7.50 (reg $15). There are some smaller ones that are reg $10 too.
Check the Halloween themed graphic tees and scan to check the prices. This Rolling Stone one with the fangs is ringing up as part of the Halloween clearance.
There is usually some children’s clothing as part of the Halloween clearance that isn’t necessarily Halloween themed. This cute dress is ringing up at part of the Halloween clearance. It’s $4 (reg $8).
Of course there are Halloween PJs too.
This is a great time to pick up plastic and paper goods at a nice discount.
Don’t forget the pets! You will also find dog & cat toys are treat that are part of the Halloween clearance.
Make sure to check for Halloween themed treats and packaging, these items go 30%, 50% and 70% off.
Lastly, don’t forget to check the Dollar Spot. If you see pumpkins in the Dollar Spot don’t assume they will be part of the clearance, make sure you scan them, some are considered part of the fall release and are not on clearance.
Everything at my target was only ringing up at 15% discount. 😭
