Question: How do you go about getting Target to price match?

I’ve never done the price match at Target. Do I just take my tablet/ipad w/me to the store to price match with Amazon? This is a great deal..

You take the intem to customer service and their either look it up themselves or show it to them on your phone/ipad.
My local targets were all out of these and i was bummed. If yours are too, you might want to try toysrus/babiesrus. They priced matched amazon for me this morning and i also could use my manu coupon. Got it for $14 something after tax and my 2 year old and our dog has been playing with it for hours.

I got the Happy homes at my target. They price matched, let me use the $10 and the $5 target one. I used my red card and got it for $8.07 with tax.

Where did you get the $5 coupon, Jennifer? I was able to price match at customer service and bought two of them. I grabbed the last two as well. 🙂

I did this deal this past Saturday I was super HAPPY that I check the price to amazon before I hit the door doing some early X-mas shopping.Target DOES NOT allow you to use a target coupon with a price match
Target coupons will be applied before the price match is made. If the competitor price is still lower than the price after the Target coupon has been deducted, the ad match can be adjusted to match the competitor’s price.
Combining both a Target and Manufacturer Coupon:
The Target coupon will be applied before the price match is made. If the competitor price is still lower than the price after the Target coupon has been deducted, the ad match can be adjusted to match the competitor’s price. Once the price match is made the manufacturer coupon will be applied.

Even though Target’s policy says they won’t let you use both a Target coupon and a manufacturers coupon when price matching, I had success at doing this at both stores. I had to go to two different Targets to get one of each of the Little People sets. Neither representative questioned me using both. In fact, the first time I asked the employee flat out whether I could use both and she said yes- the policy is one store coupon and one manufacturer coupon. I think that it’s likely that many employees are not specifically taught what to do in a situation where a customer is doing all three transactions. What I find interesting is that the cashier system does not prohibit this from occurring. My receipt shows that I got a 5.00 off coupon on a $22.99 item and used a $10.00 manufacturers coupon. The only way for Target to force this policy, is for an employee to NEVER scan in the Target coupon. They have to manually do the math, determine if the coupon means a price lower than the price match, and if not- give it back to the customer. This is somewhat complex for a store that I think prides itself in being fast and customer service oriented. But I’m in Arizona so maybe it’s different here or I got lucky. Either way, it doesn’t hurt to bring in both and present them. You may get lucky too!

I was super excited to pick this up for my little niece! And for only around $13 with tax-awesome!

As for the coupons, I think some of you just got lucky. I read up on the policy but also read that some of you had success using both coupons so I figured it couldn’t hurt to try. I asked the cashier and was told that I could use both but the computer caught it and zeroed out the Target coupon. It was clear that both the cashier and the manager she called over didn’t know the policy because they both thought it wasn’t accepting the coupon because after the manufacturer coupon was applied, the price was lower than $19 when in reality, the computer wasn’t accepting the coupon because the price match price was lower than the price that the Target coupon would have made the item.
