We recently added wood floors to the majority of our downstairs. I am looking for a vacuum similar to this Dyson. I am also looking at the Shark ION Rocket which is on sale for $199.99 (reg $279.99). If you have experience with either one of these vacuums (or any other one) I’d love to hear your recommendations.
I highly recommend the iRobot Roombas. They are seriously amazing! The higher models (900+ and the new i7s) map out your house and you can program them to run at the same time each day. If they get low on batteries while they are cleaning, they return home, charge, and then pick back up where they left off. They change the suction of the vacuum based on the type of floors, so if you have area rugs in addition to your hardwoods it will still clean just as well. Having a roomba clean everyday has significantly decreased in the amount of dust in my house, and even though we have three cats, we never have cat hair anywhere. I cannot recommend them enough!!!
