The Christmas clearance is by far the best clearance sale at Target!! Purchasing clearance items at 90% off is such a great way to pick up cute gifts and other fun items you can use all throughout the year, especially since many of the items are not Christmas themed at all. Don’t forget, the Christmas clearance items will not have yellow clearance stickers, you will need to use the scanners to double check the prices. Here are the dates the Christmas clearance happened last year, which will give us a good idea of when the markdown may take place this year. In the past the 90% off markdown usually happened around January 1st or 2nd, so last year it happened a little earlier than usual.
- 50% off (30% off food) ~ December 26th
- 70% off (50% off food) ~ December 28th
- 90% off (70% off food) ~ December 31st

Thanks for the heads up on Target Xmas clearance…I have been wanting to know when it would go 90%.
12/28/19 – Target on Harbison in Columbia SC is still at 50% for wrapping paper and decor and 30% for candy. Dollar Spot holiday items are 70% off. Manager thinks the percentage will change tomorrow for decor, paper and candy.
I checked two Targets near me in Oregon on the 28th and 29th and everything was still 50/30% off. 🙁 (& I also scanned several items to make sure). Soooo disappointing this year. 🙁
Same here in the Florida panhandle. 😟
