Homemade Kellogg’s Rice Krispies Treats are a classic treat at our house. I love how easy it is to customize them for any holiday. It’s fun to cut them into festive shapes, add frosting or even eat them plain. A pan of Rice Krispies Treats can disappear quickly at our house, because they are loved by all. For these Rice Krispies Treats we made them using the Kellogg’s Rice Krispies with Red & Blue Krispies. They are available for a limited time and are perfect for the 4th of July.
Here are the ingredients you’ll need to make these treats:
Patriotic Rice Krispies Stars
- 3 TBSP butter
- 4 cups Kraft Jet-Puffed Miniature Marshmallows
- 6 cups Kellogg’s Rice Krispies with Red & Blue Krispies
Optional Topping
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- sprinkles
Melt butter in large bowl, add Jet-Puffed Mini Marshmallows and microwave for 1 minute intervals and stir after every minute. Microwave for a total of 3 minutes or until smooth. Stir in Kellogg’s Rice Krispies. Once everything is combined, add the mixture to a greased 13×9 pan. Press down firmly. Flip pan onto wax paper, the Rice Krispies Treats should come out in one big piece. Use star shaped cookie cutter to cut out the festive shapes.
To add some extra sweetness, melt white chocolate in microwave in 30 second intervals until melted and smooth. Dip stars in melted chocolate smooth with a knife and add patriotic sprinkles. Enjoy!
