Breakfast Honey Bunches of Oats

In addition to eating the cereal with milk I found that the Honey Bunches of Oats Chocolate is a great to addition to my homemade granola and granola bars.   This variety is just one of the flavors in the Honey Bunches of Oats lineup, you can easily substitute any one of these flavors for a different tasting granola bar.

Add butter, corn syrup, and peanut butter to bowl and microwave in 30 second intervals until butter is completly melted.  Whisk until smooth.   Once the mix is smooth pour into the bowl with dry ingredients and fold into the mixture.  Place in a greased 9 x 9 pan and press down.  Cook at 350 degrees for 20 minute for chewy granola bars. If you prefer a more crunchy granola bar you will need to bake them for 30 minutes.

Bake granola bars
If you prefer you can spread the mix onto a cookie sheet instead of pressing it into a pan so you end up with granola instead of granola bars.   Either way it’s yummy!
