I enjoy coming up with fun and creative breakfast ideas. One of my favorite things to use in my breakfast creations is cereal. Target is currently offering 15% off on great breakfast cereals like Post Great Grains, Raisin Bran, Shredded Wheat and Grape Nuts. I like to mix yogurt, fruit and cereal, but that doesn’t always make for the best on-the-go breakfast or snack. I think all the Post cereals with Cartwheel offers work great together with yogurt and fruit.
My recent breakfast creation is Frozen Mango Parfait Slices with the Great Grains Cranberry Almond Crunch cereal. It’s a tasty way to eat healthy and because they are frozen, it also makes them great for those busy morning. I appreciate breakfast food that is healthy and that you can take on-the-go.
Here are the 3 simple ingredients you need to make the Frozen Mango Parfait Slices:
- 1 cup of Post Great Grains Cranberry Almond Crunch cereal (or the flavor of your choice)
- 1 cup vanilla yogurt
- 1 large mango
Slice mango into 1/2 inch slices. Dip one end in yogurt and the coat in the Great Grains Cranberry Almond Crunch cereal. Lay on a wax paper lined cookie sheet and freeze for one hour.
Enjoy them at home with your favorite juice.
Or put them in a cup and take them with you for a healthy on-the-go breakfast or snack.
The Post Great Grains Cranberry Almond Crunch is one of my favorite cereals to mix with yogurt. I like the crunch of the almonds, flakes and clusters and the slight tartness of the cranberries. They all go so well together.
