DIY Instant Photo Display

7/20/18

We may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post.

One of my slightly guilty pleasures is taking pictures with my Instax Mini. There is something so satisfying about taking a picture and instantly having this adorable mini photo pop right out of the camera. Are you obsessed with your instant camera too? Make a quick run to Target for supplies then hurry back and follow along to make your own instant photo display.

You’ll need:

  • 7 in x 7 in Hand Made Modern canvas
  • “Hello” unfinished wood embelishment
  • mini clothespins
  • matte Mod Podge
  • foam brush
  • sheet of patterned paper
  • scissors

Cut a square from the patterned paper that is a few inches bigger than the canvas. Use Mod Podge to attach the front of the canvas to the center of the wrong side of paper. Avoid using too much glue because it can cause the paper to wrinkle.

Cut a square from each corner of the paper where it meets the corners of the canvas.

One side at a time, glue the paper to the side and back of the canvas.

Glue on the “hello” using Mod Podge. The mini clothespins need to be a little stronger so use whatever super glue you prefer.

Add your photos and switch them out as often as you want.

One of the things I love most about using a canvas for the base of the photo display is that it can be easily hung on the wall or even displayed on a shelf.
